Fall foliage is generally best in late October through early November. In the spring, trees leaf out in mid to late April and it should be greened up by May. Fruit trees (apple and cherry) are generally in bloom in April. Cherries ripen in June and apples from late August through October. Check the "Orchard" page for updates regarding the fruit trees.
Migratory waterfowl frequent the lake from late fall until early spring and a variety of songbirds and hummingbirds (in the summer) can be found in the orchards and woodlands.
FYI: The lake is often clearer in the winter when it doesn't have the upwelling caused by the summer heat.
October, 2020 Update: The wild ducks are starting to return and the hummingbirds have left for the winter. I recently spotted a kingfisher.
